… for fun during the debt ceiling debate

For the third year in a row, I attended the Guam Liberation Day party on the Hill! For more information about the party, check out my post from last year or the article on K Street Kate.

I invited coworkers and friends like I did last year, and like last year, had a wonderful evening eating incredible Guamanian food and dancing the night away. This year, I was able to learn a Guamanian line dance. Thankfully, I learn line dances really quickly so I didn’t look too foolish on the dance floor. Best of all, I was able to meet up with friends I have not had a chance to see in a while.

Hafa Dai! Until next year! And thanks once again to Representative Bordallo of Guam and Representative Sablan of the Northern Mariana Islands for hosting such a fun party. I’m sure there were more than a few Hill staffers who took respite away from the debt ceiling debate!
